*Presently ICE has about 20,000 agents and Border Patrol is at around 21,000 officers, as per their sites.
Now, the only thing left to say is SHOW ME THE MONEY!
This is all great, but it comes with a price tag. Increasing ICE by 50% and BP by nearly 25% is going to be pretty large draw on the DHS budget. Does the General think he's going to speed up hearings and get locals to work more for free?
Let's not even go into hiring freezes that are in place and dramatically increasing the government size. Let's first see if this is going to be another $20 billion smoke and mirrors to make everyone believe that the administration is actually doing something.
